Join me in helping to create a Circle of Peace by educating children towards the true meaning of …

“Peace Begins with Me”

The program is interactive, dynamic and consciously designed to give children a sense of hope and empowerment that transcends the negativity that they sometimes face in their day to day world.

This musical journey is filled with uplifting words and original, catchy music.

Cheryl Melody sends the “One Planet” song to the school in advance, along with preparatory optional suggestions.  Every song and rhythmic rap is participatory, and every piece of music focuses on concrete, educational messages that teach children ways that they can bring peace, caring, manners, sharing, respect, tolerance, inclusion, effective communication and love to their lives and to the lives of others.

Through participatory and original songs, instruments, multicultural puppets, international flags and the Vibratory Golden Peace Bowl, the audience becomes aware of the true meaning of “being the change they want to see in the world.”

The entire audience becomes members of the “Peace Begins with Me Earth Chorus” and Peace Begins with Me Earth Band,” and children learn about the unlimited possibilities that they can have when they come together to celebrate diversity, embrace peace, and focus on tolerance and respect.

As the concert unfolds, children and adults learn to weave and share peace promises from the peace clues they’ve experienced-and ultimately integrate the message that each of us CAN make a difference in the world.

Interactive, and filled with singing, autobiographical sharing, storytelling with important messages, literature, poetry, unique vibratory instruments, and whole school involvement!

Focus:  Self-esteem, inclusion, effective communication, the power of words, actions, thoughts, attitudes and feelings, non-violent conflict-resolution, personal and global peace awareness, respect, tolerance, diversity celebration, teamwork, earth awareness, making a difference!
