Children’s Concerts with Cheryl Melody

One of the best children’s entertainers I have seen.  The children were
taken on a wonderful trip of enlightening their senses with new sounds,
sights, and and fuel for their imagination.

Interactive, Creative, Character-Building, Educational and Fun!

It all begins with the children.  If we feed children character-building messages that create circles of peace, self-esteem, respect, friendship, inclusion, effective communication, manners, sharing, caring and love, we will build a world of peace, understanding and joy.

“Cheryl Melody is the most refreshing, dedicated and creative artist focusing on the appreciation of diversity in its many forms, and the encouragement of personal responsibility for respectful living.  She spreads her message in a joyful way that easily engages both parents and children. I appreciate her ability to be flexible and gear each performance to the specific needs of each audience. Parents have responded very positively to her presentations, messages, and the relationship she quickly develops with the children.  The performances themselves are filled with originality and participatory activities for the whole family–so important when the audience is multi-aged.  Her performances are meaningful and unique for a child beginning to learn about very important “big” life issues in ways that have impact and staying power.”
Marie Cassidy, Medford Family Network Director

“Cheryl Melody was a  huge hit!! Her joy-filled, heartfelt music and storytelling entertained us all! She brings a love and deep kindness that are a gift to all. She has a gift and a deep love for humanity that beams through.   Every action, from planning her trip here, to packing up after the show is done with a mindfulness that is full of compassion and care.  We could all learn from her way of honoring our children and honoring life. A beautiful soul and a charming performer.”–Parent

“Thank you so much for the wonderful program “One by One, Going Green is Fun” and your stamina in the heated conditions.  The audience loved it and praised you on their way out.  You should be proud – you do a wonderful job and everyone can see how much you love what you do.  I will definitely recommend you to other librarians!” –Catherine Coyne, Youth Services Director

“Out of a “10,” you were a “12,” Melody! Great concert!”

The children adored Cheryl Melody’s music at our recent school event.
She captured them from the very beginning with her music and warmth.
The hour went by quickly as children were engaged in singing, dancing
and even playing hand held instruments.   Cheryl incorporated puppets
and other beautiful props into her stories and songs, conveying
messages of peace, love, and joy.  We hope to see her again soon!

”Cheryl Melody –you have contagious energy! It was such a delight to watch all the family members participating together, lifting babies high, hugging each other, singing, chanting, dancing and wiggling. Your storytelling ability and expressive speaking voice adds to the delight of the children, reinforcing the connection between music, literature, storytelling, dramatic play and movement.  I enjoy the purposeful way you choose certain songs and stories, making sure the words nurture children from inside-out, with messages of self-esteem, manners, sharing, caring and love.  I also enjoyed watching the Dads on Saturday, smiling and marching and carrying their little one–it was very touching.  You truly weave music magic, and are a musical magician!” Kathleen D.
